But Beware

Flip flops can be easily damaged. To take care of them simply to heed of the following maintenance steps.

• Wipe the mud off with a sponge. Use a thin towel to get a little rough with them.
• Get a toothbrush and get it wet. Lightly scrub. Then scrub a bar of soap and take to your IPL flip flop. Get in the grooves.... OR
• Throw them in the washing machine on cold. Make sure they are by themselves as other clothes will rip the straps off. Add a little soap and do not allow to spin. Warning: Dryers will melt them and set them on fire!
• Use vinegar to kill bacteria (use gloves) and to kill invisible molds use tea tree oil in a spray bottle.
• Take 2 whitening denture tablets and put in your flip flops in a bucket of hot water and soak for 30 minutes. Scrub lightly with a soft, bristled brush and rinse.
• Spray with water hose OR use a towel and hot water to wipe them down.
• If you have a dishwasher put them in with lemon juice for an automated bedazzling pair. (don't tell Mum!)
• Use shoe shine to cover the scratches up when dry.
